Edwin Bodes Artists Hut

Edwin Bode was a painter and photographer who lived from 1859 to 1926. A replica of the hut in which he lived stands on the edge of Smith Park. The hut displays copies of Bodes watercolours and photographs of early Canungra.

Laheys Tramway Tunnel

This sandstone tunnel, pierced in 1901, remains as testimonial to the ingenuity of our early pioneers. The tunnel can be walked through from the carpark located on the main Canungra - Gold Coast road approximately half a kilometre from the township. Ph: (07) 5543 5156

St Lukes Anglican Church

Built by Gordon Rhodes in 1936 this beautiful church in Kidston Street displays a copper-clad bell tower and decorated gable ends. All the timbers were from local areas and milled by Lahey's sawmill.
